One...Oh dear. And here I thought it was just me...

One thing about being a convert is that you don't have the family traditions of *how* exactly to do all this stuff, especially if you're the mom. And with Bad Cohen's family being mostly unobservant, I get no sympathy or advice there.

Although it does mean I was able to ship both Bad Cohen and the toddler off to his sister's house the Sunday before Pesach so I could finish everything without going (completely) crazy. :)Tzipporahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08807511259582331073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1777372649479002037.post-48806519861365136002010-04-05T16:27:17.624-04:002010-04-05T16:27:17.624-04:00chag sameach and excellent post! sometimes (but on...chag sameach and excellent post! sometimes (but only sometimes) holidays are so. much. stress. we all think it's just our family that um- throws sponges. but in reality, we've all been there! thanks for the perspective and the "playing ghost" wordage-- LOVE it! :)Minnesota Mamalehhttp://tcjewfolk.com/category/minnesota-mamaleh/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1777372649479002037.post-41813765871294224112010-04-04T12:51:36.684-04:002010-04-04T12:51:36.684-04:00Oh, this brings back some stressful memories. I also have memories of being totally stressed out before Sukkot one year when I had two little bitty boys and a husband who wanted me to help with the sukkah... after that, he got a friend to help, and now my boys do it all with him. Holiday prep time can bring out difficult moments.Leorahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12303493764579879710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1777372649479002037.post-24378844342945197832010-04-04T00:52:18.003-04:002010-04-04T00:52:18.003-04:00Oy I remember my grandmother's meltdowns, (my ...Oy I remember my grandmother's meltdowns, (my mother never made seder, and pesach was pretty rudimentary until my brother and I were old enough to clean. They would clean enough to come back for chol hamoed and leave us at one grandparent or another). They usually came at the end of Pesach when we were cleaning up and putting everything away. Things usually flew too, I think one year it was a bottle opener, but I can't remember.

Hope you had a great chag!Commenter Abbihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07753256568022159103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1777372649479002037.post-35690467077591411122010-04-01T02:59:45.655-04:002010-04-01T02:59:45.655-04:00Hope you are having a nice Chag.Hope you are having a nice Chag.Jack Steinerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16625864271071630940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1777372649479002037.post-82509500375468421872010-03-30T16:09:18.958-04:002010-03-30T16:09:18.958-04:00That was really nice!
