It was a cold and rainy Shabbos today. No guests, just lots of blessed quiet. The girls walked over to a friend's house. I slept and slept, all afternoon. What a pleasure.
I know that we're supposed to want guests to come over on Shabbos, and sometimes I do. But there are days when it's so nice to be alone, in a sweatshirt, just relaxing.
Anybody else crave a little solitude on the weekends?

I totally know what you mean, and yet Shabbosim are when people want to SOCIALIZE! and have PLAY DATES! and ask WHY WE NEVER SEE YOU AT SHUL!
So yes, I tend toward the misanthropic from time to time! Glad you got some good shluffin'!
