Madonna (also known in her own mind as Esther) is in Israel this week to perform the final two shows of her worldwide "Sticky and Sweet" concert tour (such a heilige name). The lucky residents of Eretz Yisroel will be able to see Rebbetzin M. strike the following tzniusdik poses:
The Material Girl, never one to put gashmiut ahead of ruchniut, made sure to visit the Kotel, where she received a private tour of the underground tunnels while protected by a heavy police guard (Rejoice Oh Israel! Your tax money is being used wisely!)
Of course, such an illustrious faux Jewess must be accorded the highest respect that the Israeli government can offer. And so, both former Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu are scheduled to meet privately with Madonna this week. It is not known whether her boyfriend Jesus (yes, I swear that's his name) will join them.

Does she have a blog? Maybe we should nominate her for the NBN flight?
(Very funny post. Say what you will about the Rebetzin, but at least she doesn't hate us).
We're all shepping true Yiddishe nachas...
:-)
BTW, consider yourself nominated.
You just have this way of putting things ... well, this post is really funny.
The husband and I were eyeballing this news last night. Especially fun that Esther means hidden- not a whole lot of that going on...
Loved this post. It (being the news, not the post) would be very very funny if it weren't all that sad.
We're supposed to be suspicious of the love of non-Jews, but as crazy as she may be, at least M. supports Israel and perhaps that will rub off on some of her millions of fans ...
and btw, not to be critical or anything, but do we really have to publicize more of those "tziusdik" poses?
Well yeah, she might need a "Jewish" moniker for her visit--her given name Madonna is the traditional name used for the Virgin Mary. That surely doesn't fit her, Israel or not.
so many entertainment personalities (jewish and non-jewish) use their trips to israel to promote "peace," its refreshing not to have come across articles that put her visit in that context (not that i'm really following the story). roger waters, during his recent visit, went to the security barrier in protest; she on the other hand paraded around the stage with an israeli flag.
Your post on Madonna brought tears to my eyes, from laughing so hard.
Thank you for a very funny post.
